Tower Hamlets food businesses dish-up healthier option
Local restaurants, caterers, café and fast food takeaway owners were presented with the Tower Hamlets Food for Health Awards on Monday (26 July 2010). 
With more than 50 food businesses now part of the award scheme its getting easier for residents and visitors to eat healthier at one of the borough’s many takeaways and restaurants.

Health conscious food businesses get the thumbs-up
Restaurants, caterers and café owners were presented with Tower Hamlets Food for Health Awards yesterday (Monday, 12 April 2010). The awards acknowledge food businesses that provide healthier food options on their menus.

Takeaways learn how to reduce the fat in frying
Café and takeaway owners attended a free healthier frying workshop last week (31.03.10) hosted by Tower Hamlets Council’s Healthy Borough Programme.

Tower Hamlets Healthy Borough BanglaTV advert
The Healthy Borough Programme took out an advert on Bangla TV to encourage local residents of Bangladeshi origin to become more physically active and eat more healthily by taking advantage of the many Healthy Borough-funded projects and activities in their local Tower Hamlets area.
The advert, in Bengali, talks about why it's important to get active and eat healthily, gives information about the Healthy Borough Programme and it's relationship to the national Change4Life campaign and tells viewers how to get in touch and find out more. It aired on the channel in March 2010.
